Will these fit?

Hey all

Was just wondering if someone can help me out. My tappets are going bad and it's getting to the point when my car runs so bad when cold it feels like it's going to cut out. I've tryed changing the filter and putting fresh oil in but it's still the same. So I'm gonna look into changing the cam/tappets. I can't find any just for the 96 1.2 8v I have but I found these:

Do you think it will fit?

Cheers Andy.

Yeah fairly sure all the 8v shafts are interchangable

Ok cheers Johnny

So I will also need a head gasket and new head bolts. Is there anything else I might of missed off my shopping list? Cheers for all the help. I'm just trying to price up the job and see if it's cheap than just getting a 1.4 and slapping that in. Or just getting a new car altogether. Only payed £225 for the car about 2 years ago and I've probably spent about £200 on it. So any help making up my mind is also welcome.

Cheers again Andy.

The only downside to getting a new car is sometimes having new problems to deal with where as the present car has been sorted without starting from scratch again so i would keep the present and consider the job in hand or give it a new engine with more power but that's just what i think :)

If it was the hight of summer I toltally would as I have access to an engine lift, space in a barn and the tools but money, day light and time this time of year is tight. Plus a dona car is hard to find on this island. These types of thing alway happen at the wrong time. If it wasn't the middle of winter I would be excited about a new project and more bhp. As the 45 the car puts out is pointless. Is there a lot more id have to buy apart from a dona car if I was to put a 1.4 8v in? Or is it just down to time then? Coz I've got a few good friend I could bring into help?

Cheers Andy.

I agree it's got new brakes, tyres all round less than month ago and just lots of little things to keep her running lol.

Yeah get a new rocker seal, most are perished and break once the rocker cover is removed, but the bolts will be fine
