Last week a mechanic drove my car and said I have a stretched accelerator cable. That's when I realised I have to put my foot down a lot more than my old corsa. Can only find one on eBay, anybody got any links and is it a big job to do?

There not a common thing to fail so don't be for sale that often, your local motorfactors will get you one

But no it's a simple job, pay attention to the way the cables routed when removing it and just put it back in the same way

Messaged them. The only one on eBay says 1.2, 1.4. Any idea if it will fit my 1.0?

The 1.0 cable is shorter or longer and it's routed differently

Is there no car parts place where you are? For example in corby we've got central auto supplies and all vehicle parts and afew others they take your reg and can source the exact part for your car? Instead of guessing

I usually go euro car parts and get a discount but the parts not listed. Might nip in and see if they can find me one. Got 2 days of doing nothing so if no luck will just visit different auto shops

Yeah that will be your best bet mate, if not have you tried ringing a vauxhall shop to get the part number?
