New EGR Valve, Engine light still on. Temp running High

Hi

First post here, frequent browser through the help on here though.

Well, lets start,

I started getting the P1405 fault, incorrect feedback signal, over a year ago. I had the valve replaced today, and the light is still coming on (It was reset after the new valve installed) it ran fine, until i started the car again after leaving the garage, when the light came back on.

Is replacing the valve for this the normal fix, or did i go the wrong way about this? If so, what else can i try to stop the light coming back on?

Also, since the new valve was fitted, the engine is running at a higher temp, is this normal? It usually sat closer to the 90 degree mark, but now it sits near 95, and doesnt drop,, even when travelling on the motor way.

Its a 1998 S reg B type 1 liter Corsa.

Cheers for any replies/help

I generally just block the egr tbh but if it's been replaced I'd imagine it's not really what's wrong

Is the light on constant?

The light is intermittent.

the first start of the day, it doesn't come on, but might come on at somepoint during a long drive, but the second start of the day, its on constant, occasionally goes away on long distance drives, then pops back on.

I had a new air mass meter just over a year ago, my idle control valve works, but its been suggested I get a new one, but not urgent. Now my egr is o the blink aha.

Im hazarding a guess at a wiring issue? as its the incorrect feedback signal with the code.

bargain when I get the car, only 32k miles, now its racking up the cost aha.

Dont know if its related, or will help with isolating the fault, but,

Drive it this morning, down the motorway, did about 10 miles, after going to the shops, starting it up again, the engine cut out, same again after fuelling up, but it doesnt cut out at junctions, just starting it up after the first start of the day, the EML only appeared as i was pulling up on the drive again.
