Indicators not working (stalk)

so guys, need some help on this if anyone's got any, tried using my indicator few days ago (meant to post this a while ago but didn't go through) my hazards are working, but when I use the indicator stalk to turn the indicator on it doesn't flash it just sticks on, been told it could be the indicator stalk but it's not that and it's not the relay, anyone have any idea on what could be?
cheers in advance.

Was the stalk changed for a known working one?

Nope, not changed it yet mate, will be changing it tomorrow but I'm sure it can't be that, if the high beam and it lights up on the dash just doesn't flash on and off as it usually does

This sounds daft but there are two separate fuses in the box as well as the relay but it sounds like the contact in the stalk is fooked to do that

On my uncles car his indicator wasn't working and we found a tiny piece of card had fallen down and lodged between the contacts.

Yeah I've changed the fuses to two new ones, still got nothing but can't be the fuses if the hazards work as well because the fuses power the bulbs don't they? and it's in VX for a new stalk tomorrow so let's hope that fixes the problem!

Think the hazards are on a separate relay so if a problem on the indicators occurs the hazards still works
