Sub/Amp install

Post by nrogers21993 »

Hi guys

I'm doing a corsa project and i've currently got all the interior. When i put it back together i want a sub and amp set up in the boot so thought i might aswel do the wiring whilist interior is out. Can someone please confirm if i've got this right?

2x RCA cables from rear of car to head unit
1x Power cable from rear of car to positive on battery (with inline fuse close to battery)
1x Remote lead to back of head unit
1x Earth lead to body

I've got a few questions also...

What amp fuse do i need for the inline one?

Can all these wires i'm putting in run down the same side of the car? I've heard like you should run the power cable down one side, RCA cables down the middle and remote on the other side? also if they are all down the same side of the car can they all be taped together? will this cause interferance?

thanks guys :)

Not sure on fuse side mate but you want power down one side on its own and remote with rca cables on the other side. Also make sure you use a good earth! :)

It depends on the gauge of the power wire and how much power your amp/sub is going to use. Most systems have a minimum if a 20amp fuse
