Ongoing steering issue, end of my tether.

Hi,
I've had a problem with a clunking/knocking noise on right full lock, if i go slow at 5-10mph and turn right round a roundabout the sound is greatly reduced but if i go 15-20mph doing the same theres a awful clunking/knocking noise.
It's been to two different garages in the past, had drive shafts and track rod ends replaced, also had the tracking done and it still pulls ever so slightly to the left.
Been told its not the CV joints but unsure whether to listen to there judgement considering it should of been fixed twice and they've both failed.
I'm at a lost cause as i cant afford to keep forking out £100-£200 each time and the problem not being resolved?
I'm possibly wondering about the steering rack but not sure if that would case the clunking noise? They did mention the track rod ends "popping out" but surely this would of been fixed if they replaced and greased them properly.
If anyone has any ideas or knows anyone in the Birmingham area who could have a look and diagnose the problem then let me know.
