Pretty simple, I've done mine with ease..
battery disconnected
unscrew airbag from the rear of steering wheel
remove airbag and wires connected
then to get the bolt off use a crossbar on the bolt to get the boss bit off
and this is how turns out

Just make sure your airbag light is out buddy! Its an instant fail else!
Best and proper way of going about it is to get a boss kit that supplies a airbag bypass cable, that way you plug it in where your airbag used to go and it loops the system in making it think it still has an airbag, so your light will stay out
Cheers.....

But if they realise your meant to have an airbag they will fail you weather the bulb is in or out

I think it depends on the tester, some can be nice and some can be an arse about it!
I don't know if there are any written laws say that if your car had an airbag then it needs to have a airbag?
Regards.....

Haha its ok mate.....Its the only reason why I haven't done mine yet, last thing I want to do is swap it for a nice suede one then fail an MOT! Airbags are expensive to replace! lol
Cheers.....

My steering wheel was an easy change so if it fails then I'll put my standard back on and retest it

Yes there is
But with the corsa it's kind of easy to get around it since the facelift model still came without an airbag so you can argue that it didn't have one, and unless he wants to fail you he probably won't notice or say anything as long as the lights out
Also on the airbag bypass, with it fitted the airbag light will still come on when you turn ignition on, so if he's paying attention its a dead give away that the bag was removed
Your best removing the bulb altogether so it can't come on
