Corsa-B.uk - Vauxhall, Opel and Holden Corsa B Owners Club

I recently noticed that the steering wheel is not locking. I have tried several times over the past days removing and inserting keys again but it would not lock. The steering can be rotated two full rotations in either way without the keys in the barrel and it will still not lock. I do not remember doing anything to it. any ideas what i could do to fix it. I know it is not a very important thing to have but it annoys me knowing something is not right.

Has it been stolen before and someone snapped the steering lock?

No it has never been stolen, I think the pin might have broke after 20 years, + I used to apply a lot of force to unlock it :/ should have been more gentle
