Mods + insurance

So I've been wondering what is the actual punishment for not declaring mods to the insurance company that you have chosen if anyone could help it would be great

Id just say your not covered in a crash. But tbh mate nobody i know declares mods and a few have had crashes and told me tge inspector didnt even pop the bonnet or anything

Ah right thanks so it's not actually like an offence or anything? You just won't be covered? Sorry I seem stupid to all you lot but I'm new to this stuff haha :)

Well im new to this stuff aswell but i didnt declare any mods at all. Im not trying to stop you from or talk you out of declaring mods btw, just telling you what i think

I dont condone it in any way. But im sure the cops cant tell if you have declared mods or not when they pull you over

It is an offense to drive a Car without out insurance, so your risking your licence and your car can be impounded

Driving without mods declared is alot worse than people make out, most would have you believe if your caught its a slap on the wrist and you drive on, it's not

To not declare mods wud void ur insurance if ya had a crash and tbh unless it was serious most of the time police wont respond to it unless someone is injured and the police data base only tells them if ur insured mot tax and have a licence

And most never declare cud of the increase to there insurance and risk it with out declaring and ive done it myself and never had any problems

This is exactly why i dont declare my mods. They would have a field day on me lol. But if i crash my insurance would be void anyway with a provisional licence and no full licence driver with me and no L plates.
