Gay and heavy>?
Mate at least comment when youve actualy picked up and felt the weight of a stainless cage! Mine is stainless and weighs the equivelant of 2 small bags of suger!
Not heavy at all!

to be honest i was being joky about it as IMO a show cage is a waste of time and will cause injust in an accident to be honest as most are made of infrerior material etc!
a safety devices cage is 18kg. you cant have a light cage that does its job, the safety devices cage is tested in every aspect in the design process at MIRA, also to meet the regulations it needs to be a certain thickness as its MILD STEEL, makes it easier to homogolate it, if you start using none uniform materials, sizes thicknesses the testing is alot more rigerous etc..... hence if i was to get a cage id get a proper one that is worth getting, remember you crash, a broken weld will spear thru a seat and your body with ease, i wouldnt like to whitness it, the same applies for fitting harnesses to recliners, ITS POINTLESS DONT DO IT! having said all the above, is your cage made to fia regs?? as far as im aware if its stainless it would need testing individually at the cost of £600??

18kg is that all, wow im quite impressed, idve thought they weigh loads more than that, laso i agree with you on the \'for show\' cages, you just dont know what would happen to it in a crash, worrying really
