Paperclip test

How do you do a paperclip test? My eml will flick on then a minute down the road off again its intermitent now and again its so weird, and my car seems to use a hell of alot of fuel! Can anyone tell me or find a thread! Looked but i found nothing

Thanks mate! I think i fixed it, one of the hoses coming from the rocker cover, the larger one goes to the carb and the smaller one goes down behind the block, the smaller one was blocked with thick black gunk, cleaned it out with high pressure water, light hasnt came on on a short drive i went on, could that have caused the eml?

Try cleaning your egr valve 9 times out of 10 its your egr valve stating to stick

I need this so will be having a look later on as it's beginning to piss me off highly now!

The best thing to use is opcom if you have access to it or tech1
