Hi all.
I bought a corsa b a few months back and it overheats if driven less than perfectly.
I have found the leaking water, it is in the pic and it leaks from the gap on the right between the main engine and whatever the bit is that goes forward the back.
Do you know what needs to be done to fix this?
Thanks in advance......Image

Where exactly is it leaking, if you don't know what the parts are called circle them in the pic :)

I can see what looks like a leak from the rocker gasket but that would be.oil not water

First things first by the pic its a 1.2 8v u have correct. The top pipe should have a clip on it to seal the hose to the rocker head (the top plastic cover on the engine). Hazarding a guess its where ur flashing the light which is the rad pipe flexi hose if so my advise i wud flush the coolant system as it might be slightly blocked. Check ur water expansion tank there is no oil mixing in with it and the same for the oil and check the fans blow hot when the engine is warmed up to eliminate a head failure. Also check there is coolant in ur water but otherwise i agree with johnny circle where u mean hope this all helps :)

Never even noticed the light  yeah as andy said that's a rad pipe, if it's coming from the pipe it could be blocked, if it's coming from the housing it could be as simple as a gasket on the stat :)

I would say looking at the pic it's your rubber seal to the thermostat housing that needs replacing

Thanks for the replies. Posting the pic is as technical as I get I'm afraid.
In the picture if you go from the rusty clip by the torch it connects to the straight silver metal bit (what a description! ). Well follow that back a couple of centimetres on the right hand side and you will see what looks like green gunk, I could actually see water bubbles coming from there.
Hope that makes a bit more sense? ??
Thanks again

The silver thing is your radiator, then that pipe leads to your thermostat housing, I'd image the green gunk is from when someone changed it and used a liquid gasket to seal it and it's worn so is letting water through, it's a simple job and should cost around 10-20 quid

So I bought a new thermostat and it came with a gasket, although strangely a round one that fits the thermostat instead of the shape of the housing.
Anyway I replaced it in a different way to usual.
All I did was take off the air filter box and tubes to give a bit of space then unscrewed the two thermostat housing screws, this took about 5 minutes each as could only do little turns.
I then just unbolted the top belt wheel, unscrewed the top two belt protector screws and forced out the housing.
Refitting was reverse.
All sites seemed to say remove all the belts but I wasn't messing around like that lol.
