Only just happened was driving back from my local motor factors and the engine was running real rough , then smoke started heaping from the dash and it cut off . Haven't had a real look yet as still waiting for a tow home , blown ecu? Any had this before ? Also forgot to say , the starter is fine it turns but the engine won't start that's why I think it's the ecu. Just tried bumping it and it starts but cuts out so mob or ecu does anyone know if I chuck any one on ? Mines diesel

Sounds you got a wire or wires burnt out behind the dash
You are gong to have to pull the dash out and trace the wires

Disconnect the battery as if it's turning over the a chance of fire from any movement
