Hi all just got a X reg 3d corsa and seem to be having a small prob with power at pull aways say you come to a junction and all most stop and then start to accelerate out of it in first the car seems to judder with no power a work mate tells me it may be the clutch slipping and it may well be as it's been around the world at 89.000 or so and no clutch change I know of so any views on this please feel free to fire away thanks lots

Just got around to connecting the code reader and having a little look at engine management /transmission and to my shock I have no fault codes or pending codes so will have to delve a little deeper in to the problem ?

thats a pain when you dont get a answer from code reader:/ just a thought but I had a wee corsa b I got from auction with similar problem seemed to hesitate when pulling away was almost like throttle cable was sticking when pushing it down then bang you got bit to much didnt always happen tho... anyway put a bottle of forte injector cleaner through and bingo was perfect after few mile driving. I only buy forte stuff now. bout 14 quid a bottle seems to work well and is used by trade. other things may be worth trying clean your throttle body out and check your spark plugs. its such a good indication of how combustion and your engine is running.

Just a qwik update coming back from Nottingham yesterday and found that the rev counter has stopped working once more when I got the car the rev counter did not work and a change of the Crank angle sensor got it going so all was good some people have told me the sensor is a part that tends to fail a lot on this model I did put a good quality part ( bosch ) in it can anyone tell me if this part is prone to fail like this

I would guess there is something else causing the sensor to fail if it is that sensor gone already

I think I will have to pull the sensor and test it and work back from it to get to the root of it maybe put my code reader back on it and see if I have any pending codes poping up now

Exactly what stance said but at the same time with the sensor being so cheap it's worth buying a second, even if it doesn't sort it you have a spare
