Right okay, so I've had this creak for a couple of months now, it usually only occurs when I have more than one person in the rear of the car, and when I'm setting off/slow driving.
At first I thought it was the exhaust sitting too low and catching on the axle, so I've bent the locating pins for the rubber mounts further up and cleared it completely from the axle - so it's definitely not that.
Today I removed the rear offside shock and spring (this is the side I think it's coming from) cleaned up all the mountings and bushings and greased them all then put them all back in. When I lowered the car off the axle stands/jack it creaked on it's way down..I'm imagining it's probably the shocks (hoping it's not but..).
When I shake the rear of the car I can hear the creak on both sides, but more so on the offside.
If anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated!
