Okay in fitting electric windows following this guide http://www.allcorsa.co.uk/forums/showth ... 38806.html I've fitted the passenger side started the car to check it was starting it was fine.. I hadn't connect the 15a live fees to the battery at this point but made a rookie mistake and it slipped off the battery and touched the gear box (I hadn't saw this) I turned the car off and went to start again few clicks and nothing, I saw the 15a feed touching the gearbox and moved it off and insulated. Checked all the fuses all fine started the car and fired up no trouble. However I then tried to lock/alarm the car.. The car locks the unlocks itself but stays alarmed.

I've tried all I can think of to see why the car locks then unlocks instantly but with no clear soloution.
I've managed to work it out that something is causing a return which unlocks the door after they have locked.. I just don't know what.

The only theory I have is... The drivers door still has a standard loom in it so could this be causing the car to unlock again..?
I jut don't want to plod on fitting the drivers door loom to find out I've destroyed the wiring and it still doesn't work :/

My car is a corsa b 1l t reg (1999 I believe)

Alarm is auto watch 346 RLI

As far as I know the central locking is standard factory fitted

All help much appreciated!

Is it remote central locking? Can you lock them manually, ie sitting in the car and lock by pressing the pin

Yes remote central locking and no even when operated manually from inside or out the same thing happens lock then unlock.

I think the 15a feed touching is unrelated and has just thrown me off as I hadn't attempted to lock the doors beforehand. However it may also have damaged something.

Completely out of ideas tbh haha

Hahaha gave me a laugh atleast! Think I'll have to put it all back together and work out the problem from scratch

The remote central locking is an alarm feature not oem so was going to suggest checking the wiring more than likely something was loose

Yeah I had a feelin the remote wasn't oem. The problem has came back but I've just disconnected the passenger door lock from the central locking and I can lock the doors now till I've got a chance to look. I've got a feeling I've got a double earth feed (the earth which connected into the old door loom now on car body and the new door loom earth also connected to the body) I've a feeling if I remove that I'll get the problem and I'm gonna fit the drivers side too at the worst I'll loose central locking but it gives me time to find out the problem atleast. Thanks for the help guys
