I have a 1.2 8v and i'm looking for a brake upgrade for when I fit a 1.6 engine. Could I use my hub and carriers with the 1.6 callipers (discs and pads) and does anyone have the size of the brake discs from the 1.6 ? cheers

Depends on what 1.6 your taking them from, 8vs are 236, the same as most corsa's and 16v have 256 same as 2.0 redtop brakes(the common upgrade) I'm not sure what size the 1.2 8vs have, I'll check now to see if there smaller than 236

Yeah 236, and yeah you can use the carriers they all have the same bolt pattern

So 1.6 16v are an upgrade to the 1.2 8v and a straight fit? What the easiest rear disk conversion?

You'll see no real benefits from rear discs though, drums are fairly ideal for small hatchbacks, Vegas(not a member here)used to run a 400bhp corsa with drums

Best-wilwood/brembo, but there stupidly expensive
