I have decided to bit the bullet and start to tune my 1.2 8v engine just to be different. I know I wont see more than 100bhp but how could I go about this ?
Plans so far
General Strip Down and Clean/Rebuild Engine
Performance Camshaft
4-2-1 Manifold
Sportex Exhaust System
Induction Kit/Panel Filter
Don't want any "Fit a bigger engine etc" I want to do this to be different

Sounds good mate! I dont blame you people who do bigger engines and that is pointless... Dont need speed when you have a lush looking B... Do it your way its your car mate, people dont like lexus lights i have them and i like them.. Your car mate your rules!

It's worth noting that with many B's the youngest will be 14 years old. A good service and putting everything stock finds many horses that may have escaped. What you suggest sounds a good plan

I know you said not to but
the 1.2 isn't worth tuning, if you want power you need at least a 1.4
A cam and exhaust will only see about 20hp, the weakest of 1.4 8vs will have the same power stock, and by the time you've bought and fitted the cam and exhaust you probably could have picked up an engine for less,
But there's plenty of people have tried to get power from the 1.2 out there so all the info on what works best is out there

Good exhaust with manifold cam gas flow and port the head bigger inlet valves with a good cam derestrict the air box for a bigger cold air feed or go down the bike carbs route
It's not going to be cheap tho
