In trying to create a light under my door handles that will come on when I lock or unlock my car. I only want It to stay on for a few seconds so will be putting a timer relay in.
I'm going to piggy back into the central locking wires to use them as a signal to start the timer relay.
I need some sort of contactor that will throw a switch when I operate the central locking giving the timer relay a permanent feed.
Possibly use two timer relays?
I'll upload a picture of the closest I have got to this so far...

Re: Autosparkys help me kickstart my brain!
Where it says 'here must be a switch' i need something to go there that will close a switch when a pulse comes through the Central locking and stay closed for say 5 seconds.. This would eliminate the need for the timer relay closest to the lamp too obviously..
Can't seem to get my brain started on this one try as I might I keep stalling haha
Any help or ideas appreciated

Something like this. 1 being where the timer/contractor/switch needs to go..
