Rear mudflap removal?

Areet peeps, just wondering can I take the rear mudflaps off without having to take wheels off? Cheers

Yeah there's a bolt on the underside of the bumper

Ah right thanks I'll have a look when it stops raining. Just the one? It's such a pain if the wheels had to come off with it being slammed haha. Did you get sorted with gumtree?

Right just had a look and a quick feel couldn't see or feel a bolt so tried to just use bruit force but still didn't happen. They feel quite solid on there any ideas anyone it's prefacelift if that makes a difference?

Two clips on side of them but then along the bottom there is a self tapper or a bolt going up into the bumper

These clips, are they literally just clips that I force off or clips that use bolts or a screw? And for the self tapper do you mean directly under bumper like parallel to the ground?

The screw is on the underside aiming up.

Literally just small spring steel clips that you can force off (mine are quite tough). It might be that yours are on with self tappers and screw into the bumper.

If you run your hand down the inner arch of the car you will feel either clips or screws on the mudflap.
Continue down onto the bottom of the mudflap there will be a recess and a small semi circle of the mudflap flush with the bumper through this a self rapper will have been driven up into the bumper.

I used a m8 bolt and type d washer on mine as the plastic was damaged and the screw wouldnt take hold.

I had my wheels off too it does make life ALOT easier haha
