Anyone know why a hand held code reader that is EOBD and OBDII compliant won't communicate with the Ecu? Tried 2 different readers. Garage had to use a different diagnostics to read codes. Not sure what they used. Will the paper clip test work as the pedal one doesn't? Car is First registered in 2000

Corsa is fickle with cheap readers, the pedal test only works with corsa c
The paperclip test will and does work

You can use opcom on your car or tech1
The Corsa b uses obd1 and only a few readers
Will work opcom is about £20-30 and works with windows 7

Right, mechanic had a snap on reader and it came back with 02 sensor voltage low , however the reader wouldn't do a live test so he'll need to hook it up to yet another machine
