Has anyone got any tips on spraying my bonnet with a rattle can?

Best advice I'd give is don't do it tbh

The bonnet is too big for a rattle can job, it'll be so difficult to get an even coat and even if you do it'll probably be full of orange peel

I did a whole wing from a rattle can and that has orange peel. However a dads friend with plenty of experience sprayed my quarter panel after a knock (after I had beaten and filled it) and that was from a rattle can and isn't bad! Depends how much of the bonnet u need to soray

To get rid of orange peel use 1000 grit wet and dry
Then 1500 use plenty of water as you do it then
Give it a polish
Bonnets are hard to do with rattle cans
But can be done

Far too lazy to bother my arse doing it! I gave it a good polish with t cut and a polishing cloth it's virtually not there now.. I've gave up trying to make the car look smart it's best part of twenty years old and a daily for tools etc so I've just left it still mod a few little bits but have to accept its a losing battle trying to fix the paint work up without stripping it right back down
