My rear suspension looks low. Any idea what the clearance should be between top of tyre and wheel arch (13 inch wheels)

Should look roughly like this

Have you looked at the springs? If there not black there lowering springs and if there black they could still be lowering springs but more likely to be worn out or broken stock springs

Thank you. It has definitely been lowered as springs ok. I will pop a couple of standard springs on. Dampers look as though they are stock.

Swapped the springs. Quite a difference in size. Car now sitting properly and less likely to foul the speed bumps and damage the stainless back box. I noticed that the shocks are not standard so will need to monitor. Also noticed that the link to the brake compensator valve is now able to function.

Thank you for the help.

One thing that stil does not seem right is that the wheel is not central in the arch. There is a bigger space between the tyre and the front of the arch than at the back. A longer damper nay make a difference. Any thoughts?

My ultimate aim is to put some decent wheels in it once the suspension and alignment are set up properly. Certainly do not want larger wheels whilst there is such a small gap between tyre and rear mud flap.

Mines exactly the same with 16 inch wheels on never noticed it before with the standard 13s on but mine sits a lot closer to mud flap than the front off the arch so don't know if that's how they are or what but mines got the 16s on and it don't rub and is standard height at the moment

That looks normal tbh sitting a little low but that'd be the sport shocks, I wouldn't worry about it

Good. Thank you.

I shall sort out the shocked and move on to sorting out wheels.
