they are held on by circlips, little round circles of metal, they have two tabs that you put circlip pliers onto and stretch them then just push em off, kinda hard to explain, would make more sense if you could see the pliers and a circlip i\'ll find ya photo

any ol motorshop sells them, you could always just use two pairs of pliers to pull the circlip off, only problem with that is you can damage the plastic on the winder, scrappy might have em, but id say a set like that would be £10ish if not, seems like a lot to pay out for something you\'ll only use once, but they are worth it. so much easier

i was surprised how quick i found the photos

There an absolute pain in the ass to get off, in the end i threw in the towel and got the bloke from the scrappy to do it (it took him about 10 seconds and didnt charge me).

I knew i had to get the clips out, but i couldnt see or find them. He managed to do it with a small flat head screw driver. Just get it under the clip and lever it out, although be careful not to damage your winder.

If its any conselation i still cant do it properly, and when i put it back on i still couldnt do it and had to get a mate to do it  and they put the winder on wonkey, so on one side of my door the window winders at about 9 oclock when the windows up where as the others at about 4 oclock lol.

yeah theres a point, you can damage the winding mechanism if you put the hadle on at the wrong angle as you could possibly get more torque then needed, so take a look at what angle they are at on a new car with the windonw done up and do the same

ps, when putting the winder on put the clip in the groove and just push on

Sounds like you guys have been having fun getting the clips off

Little trick i learnt was to use a cloth or duster & place this flat under the window handle (between handle & doorcard), & slowly rub this causes the clip to catch on the cloth & freeing it, sounds weird but ill get some pics up later :P
