well basically every time i xelerate hard the car stops reving , the orange ecu light cums on then the revs drop and wnt pik up until the light goes off if my pedal is 2 the metal the car wont rev any higher than 4000-5000 rpm and at that revs it just spluters and miss fires ,wen start up wen its cold it ticks over but if u touch the throttle the revs drop just 2like 100 rpm and the car shakes!! , had it plugged in at vauxhall they said it was the lambda sensor so they charged me 182 quid for a new 1 fitted ,and its dun O_o all , i dnt hav a clue !!!

any body had this ??

the car is a 99 v reg corsa 1.2i 16v sxi ,x12xe engine , its also had a full rebuild 5000 miles ago its only done 4000 miles

Sounds like the bottom end has gone mate. Thats exaclty what happened with my L reg SRi before I had the new engine put in.

Before this problem happened did you get a metallic sound (a bit like a clunking) in low revs or when first pulling off? This is how mine started, then on the same day..... approx 4 weeks after clunking was first heard i took it into a mates garage for a check up and he said \"bottom end is going\" half way home the bottom end went.

Then again... just re-read your post and it might just be a simple ECU program problem?

I had this problem a couple of days after I bought my Corsa. The dealer had it sorted out for me, said it was an engine management problem.

my mum had a similar problem on her corsa a. It turned out it was the air-fuel mix sensor and they can be replaced for next to nothing, or just go to the scrappy. Hope this helps mate.
