Airbag light doesn't go out

The lights been on ever since I\'ve had the car. I replaced the airbag because the plastic on the original was starting to crack but the lights still on! Any ideas on fixing it without removing the bulb?

have to get it reset by vauxhall dont you? could try leaving the negi lead off the battery for half hour or so, giving the ecu a chance to reset itself but i suspect it will come back on

my m8 bought a brand new punto a couple years back, and i think his airbag light was on for ages. Cant remember if it was ever fixed? If it has been, i\'ll see what his problem was?

hey m8. i work for vauxhall and usually if the lights on n uve dun the airbag it cud mean its the pre-tensioners in ur seat tht are the problem. hope tht helps!

u\'ll have 2 go to vauxhall 2 turn the light off n they\'ll tell u weva its the airbag or pre-tensioners tht need re-placin.

or just remove the bulb ,and fit a snap off steering wheel !! if the air bag light is on 4 the mot its a sitraight fail by the way !!

think ya do yeah, when my parents bought there honda civic the airbag light was on when they bought it from dixons. had to take to devries honda [ local honda dealer] to reset it if i remeber right lol.

as alredy said.. just get vauhall to reset ecu. should do the job.
