should i take off the bumper strips on the doors, and should i spray the badge surround on the boot door?

The worst that can happen is the paint behind the strips is a different colour.

yeah take em off, and give it a go spraying the boot lock thing....take it off the boot when you spray it matey

I see your car is red, yea its going to be a different colour underneath i realised this wen i put the red bump strips and SRi badges on mine, red is a pain in the neck. Use G3 compound or something like tat to try and get the paint matched.

or in my my case the previous owner had super glued them back on so wen i took them off it took the pain with it so i had no choice but 2 put a new set on!!!
