hi,
I\'m new to this forum and was wondering if anyone can give me some ideas for tuning my 1.4 16v sport. Already got a induction kit and back box. want more acceleration. any help would be grateful cheers.
p.s. would it be worth me uprating my clutch or getting a lightened flywheel.

Yes a lightened flywheel is well worth the money. Also a reduced final drive is also better, as you rev more for the equivolent speed, so you have more go at that speed (in simple terms) that alone will gain the car much more than just spending money on out and out power.
As suggested an inlet is a good start. leave the rest fo the system and spend your money on a 4-2-1 manifold, te janspeed one is good for the money. No point changing the cams unless you pocket the pistons due to clearance issues.
Or just get a 75shot of nitrous on a progressive controller, will cost less and have better resale value too.

Dont\' bother with stainless steel it\'s a waste of time and money really, a well made mild steel one will last as long (virtually) and for the money made to a higher std.
Sports cats are ok, but for the money I\'d rather get my hands dirty once a year.

ahhh new brighton, im from Moreton, not too sure about meets mainly because my corsa is pretty funked at the moment and its not worthy to show off.
try
http://www.geocities.com/wirralvxr/ - wirral vauxhalls - about 50 members - nice and friendly and they meet everyone month at birkenhead maccies i think.
i dont know many people in all the car parks and that yet, maccies in upton has a fair few modd\'d car owners, i sometimes go down the castle in new brighton.

probably being stupid, whats the difference between inlet manifold and 4-2-1 or are they the same thing. (still learning!) again hakns for all the help. and sports cats are a bit expensive so they have been jibbed.

Your engine has two manifolds - one inlet and one exhaust.
When most people talk about a \"manifold\", they mean exhaust. 4-2-1 is the exhaust manifold and describes how the pipes are formed to get the exhaust gasses out of the engine.
The inlet manifold is on the other side and is used to get the air into the ports on the side of your engine.

cheers joff, makes a bit more sense now. after all this advice, my corsa decided it didnt want to play today and started making a tapping sound on start up from the left side of the engine, then once its warmed up it seems to go or go quieter, any one have any ideas.
