Hello all,

Is it a big job to fit power steering to a diesel Corsa that did not have it fitted as standard?
If it is possible, what parts do I need?

Cheers,

Spud.

Should be possible to retro-fit.

The least you\'ll need is the PAS pump, steering column, reservoir and any plumbing and belts for the pump.
You may need to change your bottom pulley for one that allows you to fit the PAS belt.

This is just an (ill)educated guess but hopefully it\'s given you a few pointers as to where to look.

Might be easier to just work on the bench presses

Would I need to change the rack? I was under the assumption that PAS racks were \'quicker\' -approx 2.5 turns lock to lock whereas a non-PAS rack is in the region of 4 turns so that there is less effort required. Does this make sense or does this theory not apply?
I\'m sorry but bench presses sound too much like hard work!!

Cheers,

Spud.

I have heard that aswell, don\'t know how true it is.

Mind you on my last car (Calibra V6) it was only 2.2 turns lock to lock.
