Hi guys,
My heaters have recently packed in and only blow out cold air. Does anyone know what the problem could be?

I know the coolant level is ok because I checked this a while back.

if you look on the ducting at the back of the radio on left hand side(on heater ducting) there is a clip that the heater cable attaches, check this hasn\'t come loose as if it has and came loose when the heater was in cold position all you will get is cold air. it just clips back in.

From what I can see, the wire is not loose.
I would just like to add that before the heaters went, for warm air the come through I had to turn the setting from 1 to 4 for the fans to get heat.

yeah adam is right with the air lock/ thermostat/ matrix. the water system shouldnt air lock if you havent drained the water or burst a pipe.

The thermostat should be ok because that was replaced at the beginning of the year.
How would I go about finding an air lock and how to I check the heater matrix?

take out the temperature sensor which is at the rear of the engine and squeeze all the radiator hoses to expel any air and top up if necessary.

I\'ll check the heater matrix tomorrow and also check for air locks.

Problem solved. The wire that connects the switch to a lever was connected, but the lever was jammed in place and was stuck on cold.
