I recently bought a JVC KD-LHX551 head unit. The unit its self is great. But every time I take my key out of the ignition all of the settings e.g. equaliser settings and radio stations etc, reset when I turn it back on.
Has anyone else experienced this or know how to overcome it?
Cheers!

it\'s an easy one to fix you need to swap the red an yellow over the it will hold its settings
red to yellow
and
yellow to red
the red and yellow should be on bullit conectors if not you can buy a lead for £5 or there abouts

Did you have the correct leads for fitting or has the stereo been wired in by yourself using connectors? The main problem you describe is that you have no permanent live going into the head unit when the ignition is off. Like Flash22 has said. Wire both the red and yellow cables to a permanent live and the head unit should retain all settings when ignition is turned off.
Website no longer live. PM me with make/model for a quote
