Hello everybody
Sunday was interesting, starting with me driving to Brosters this morning to go to look at a new car, we\'ll get to that in a minute.
So, in completely the wrong order:
Jr came to meet me, to collect a cold air feed or two for J18, we met him at santa pod, and he followed us to marks to get 1 of them
then, he followed us back to mine, to collect the other one
When we were there, steam started coming out of my engine, from the back corner, near the alternator, the head gasket has GONE, as Jr will vouch for due to the ploom of white smoke/steam covering his car
this is not good
i tried to solve the problem with this....
which resulted in water trying to ignite in the cylinders (this i also not good)
so the corsa is dead, but Jr was kind enough to give me a lift to marks
On another, more positive note, the journey to wales was a succesful and fruitful one, i have purchased this.....
got it for less than he was asking for it, and he\'s fitting a black dash, sorting out the scuff on the front bumper, and changing a headlight for me
its so unbelievably clean, there is no rust whatsoever on the arches, and it drives like a dream
68000 miles from new, MOTs to confirm, all original booklets, and even the finance agreement from vauxhall in 1985
i\'m picking it up on the 19th, as i\'m on holiday next week
so all in all, not a bad day really
cheers to Broster and JR, and also Lee for giving me a bargain
comments appreciated
