Hi All, im stuck in two minds about what to do regarding my corsa, as i posted a while back i was involved in an accident on january near the beginning, thus causing me to need a new bumper, front impact bar, air con and normal rad, bonnett knocking out and resprayed. Anyhow i have not claimed as i was thinking of getting it fixed myself, the person involved has not even contacted his insurance company as i aint heard nothing yet so dunno whats wrong with him lol. First off i was thinking about claiming on the insurance because if i do i will be able to get the whole car sorted... ive been have problems, engine management light always on, car stalls when i put the clutch in and revs drop down, farts and splutters, just aint running right and the exhaust rattles alot, speedo is broken, gear box sounds dodgy other then that its alright, now the cost of getting all the fixed is surely going to be alot? will it be more then the cars worth? will they right it off? if i was to claim i would lose my no claims yes but the cost of getting it all fixed out of my own pocket is going to be alot more then what i may have to pay on my premium next year? so is it worth it? i want a new car anyway so this is sorting swaying me towards claiming and hoping it gets wrote off. mind you i will have to take the alloys etc off it lol

post seems a bit muddled, hmm was the accident your fault? if it was then fix it your self itll be cheaper

it it was other frivers fault claim off his insurance as its his fault and you wont lose you no claims

dony try to get the car fully fixed up as insurance companys are wise to this

accident was my fault, cost of all new parts is like poo loads lol, i want to sell the car and with the accident i was thinkin i should just claim on the insurance as the cost to repair the whole car and sort out the ecu or whatever it is may be more then the cars worth. Thing i dont understand is the person who i bumped into obvisouly aint got in touch with his insurance company or me as i aint heard anything at all.
