Had an inspector come out on thursday to look at my car as i put a claim in, rang them back today too see what was going on and they said they faxed norwich union the info and i should ring them and see whats happening, so i did they said they didnt recieve nothing so i rang the other place back and they said they wud re-fax the info and whilst on the phone i asked if they could tell me if it was re-pairable or a write off, they said its re-pairable and the inspector has quoted a reserve of £1960 for the repairs to be done......... now christ but £1960 is alot considering all he did was look at the front end and it aint even that bad lol....... when i insured the car i said £2,200 this was a year and a half ago....... now if they decided to write the car off and pay out? what do u reckon ide get ? and when they write the car off am i allowed to take anything i want off it? obvisouly gonna take my wheels, lights etc but can i take things like the seats, basically strip the car ?

what engine is / was in it??

you could always buy it back off the insurance my hubby did with his cav it only cost him about £100 or somthing like that
give them a ring and see wat they say..
