Hey,
i know this has been in several threads previously but i\'ve done everything correct and stiil no luck...
the problem i have is with the eq settings and radio stations being lost everytime i turn off the ignitions on the car...it will retain all information until i remove the key....i have the correct wiring harness and have ensured it has a permanent live source but still no luck...is there anything else i can do?

Headunit problem
on the back of your head unit there should be to wires 1 yellow and 1 red that are connected in the middle,
all you have to do is connect yellow to red on both sets of wires and this should sort your problem out!!!

Headunit problem
no, on the standard head unit theres a 3hole plug that is used by all 3 plugs,
wen u put a different stereo in the unit only as 2 plugs, 1 power, 1sound, so the other cable is for date, it wont work
think this makes sense

Re: Headunit problem
To get the date back you just need to cut the blue wire on the headunit harness easy
As for head unit settings just swap the reds and yellows over and all should be well BUT on some newer head units you dont have to do it

Re: Headunit problem
ive just had a head unit fitted to my v reg corsa, when i took the keys out i lost everything, i went to see my mate who fitted it and he said there is a yellow cable with 2 plugs on side by side, unplug 1 conection and plug it in to the other yellow 1 next to it. an as for my display, i get the date then when i put the front on my cd player it goes off an when i unclip it again it lights back up
