anyone know the performance figures for standard a 1.0 12v and a 1.2 16v sxi,
cuz i raced my mates 1 litre earlier today
even giving him a head start i still thrashed him, he thinks his engines knackered so just wondering how much difference there should be

dont know the BHP for the 1.0 12v, would have thought it was something like 40 / 50 ish

i know the 1.2 16v is 64 / 65 BHP

as for 0 - 60 time

1.0 12v ... 19.9 secs
1.2 16v ... 13.1 secs

so yes you probably would have thrashed him

* tut tut*Racing lawnmower engine\'d size corsa\'s isn\'t big nor clever , dare i say the 1.2 sxi would be quicker, so you must of not been trying or like you say theres a fault with the car . best of taking it to vauxhall if theres a problem. the 16v engine is notorius for sensor problems.

it may not be big or clever but its great fun lol
and yeah his is knackered hes thrashed it non stop since he got it a year ago
ive only had my sxi for about a week and very rarely take it past 4000 rpm part from when im racing
