corsa 5 dr boot speakers

hi can anyone tell me if i can take the original speakers out of the boot and replace them without buying adaptor rings for the new speakers to go in. the speakers i want to replace are at the side of the parcel shelf. any help will be great

yep there 5 1/4 13cm? you need to get ones with 4 fixing points/prongs tho. Thay just twist out of there mounts. The rear 1/4 is held in by 7/8 torx screws tells you how to take them out in the haynes manual

in the back of mine i have replaced them with coaxials there faded out most of the time as thay only drag the sound stage backwards anyway

as for adapter rings there only used in the front doors

perhaps my car has an uprated standard stereo in it. my car is a 5 Door CDX tho It had a CDR500 in it when i got it whats stereo left the showroom with

only found out 2 weeks ago it spent it first 3 months of it life as a demo car. i will have to do a bit more diging
