well it started 3 weeks ago i got a recomended a painter to do some work on my car (respray rear 1/4, door and boot also fit and paint a spoiler) seen a few of his jobs and thay looked good. so i got a quote and was happy with that so went ahead with it. It went in last wednesday got a phone call friday to pick it up still not finished proplems with paint reactions (ok fairy muff got the car back over the weekend) its due to go back in tomorrow not happy with colour match (its changed colour since i picked it up on friday) just gearing up for an argument in the moring and it looks like its going to cost me a fortune again. oh swell

Im lookin to get my mirrors, gsi spoiler and door handles sprayed. Just interested to see what the prices are like ?

i have got a good idea what his done his sprayed the basecoat and not let it dry fully before his lacquered it. As its a mica basecoat it a pig to do aswell see what happens tomorrow havnt handed over any money yet

I was quoted £210 that was for rear 1/4,A piller back to blend it, rear door with dent removal, boot lid, spoiler +fitting and the rear bumper cover

As i said he come recommended by a few people 2-3 of local dealers use him aswell

i feel a new car comming the rate its going maybe a vw or a 3 door corsa

been looking at a vw polo se 1.4 16v just to be a little diffirent currntly i hav a cdx ^^^^ so finding a 3 door to same spec isnt easy

.. its 95l graphit is gray on the logbook being a mica its all sorts of colours (blue, black, gray, purple with a bit of gold and silver in it

Just tell every one its that heat reaction pant!!!!

That is well off i would demand him to do it again or i would drive the car straight in to his work shop throught the doors!!!!

Its sorted now took it back this morning and its all being redone it was sprayed with 95L 363 and not 95L as it should of. The donut read the wrong number on the vin plate. I should get it back friday if not saturday morning so fingers crossed

While i am waiting i will figure out the steering wheel controls what i have be working on for months (new thread in a few weeks if all goes well) I have nearly got the display working aswell so more toys to play with

oh yes still not 100% happy. Got to pop it back next week an he will mop the spoiler while i wait. I cant be doing with the hassle and stress at the mo If the weathers ok tomorrow i will go out side and do the fiddly bits and get it how i want it

yes indeed i wont be going back in a hurry basicly he wanted the cash and tryed to rush it and it back fired

we all learn by our mistakes. If i had a garage i prob would of done the job myself

Been out there tonite for 15-20 mins sorting the trim out,cleaning the arches up and cleaning the f in windows again looks better already
