if there cheap 6x9s the metal mesh will push into the plastic trim carefuly lever it up with a small screwdriver once the trim is off it should be held down with 2-4 screws to the parcel shelf

the other type is the grill and plastic trim are 1 piece and actully clip to the plastic trim on the speaker

Sounds like they arnt ment to cum off if they that hard to get off! ???
