might be a silly question, but what EXACLY are them bonnet pins for?
must have a purpous i think they look a bit silly,

yes its a carbon fibre bonnet

and the pins are to hold it down, ask anyone who has had a g/f or carbon bonnet and not used pins, they all have flipped up and smashed the screen.

so yes they serve a very important purpose

they use bonnet pins because if i use the standard mechanism and wing gets under the bonnet the carbon fibre cracks/splits opening the bonnet casueing the windscreen to get smashed

simon ur right it looks silly on that colour car maybe if he resprayed the car white or sumit like that fully colour coded with a set off lightweight wheels it would look really good
