i got a feeling my speakers poped is there any way to tell?

Looked round the edge of the speaker!

this only happens with the bass line in song once the music turned up.

both my front components did that then went off completely, turned out to be the crossover though not the actual speaker, if you\'ve got components, remove the wires going from it to the speakers, ie the woofer and the tweeter and connect tat up to another sort of stereo, i used the one in my room, just plugged the wires into the back of that and they sounded perfect on their own, just the corssover knackered made them sound scratchy
