my new-ish corsa b

Post by mart1990uk »

I have had this car (1994, 1.2, 5dr, merit corsa) for a few months now and i really like the car and want to make it perform better, but due to crap wage and driving test fees im poor :P anyways i was just wondering if its worth me buying an K&N filter, this one to be specific:
[url]http://www.knfilters.com/search/product ... 7-0278[url]
i guess im asking whats a good price and what kind of changes will i notice?
or is there anything other i could do?
any feedback would be great im just looking for advise thankss.

out of a 1.2 you wont notice that much difference, you will find that the throttle responce is better and you have the burbely dinduction growl with the filter.

dont worry i know how you feel with the crap wages and driving test fees i went through that well i aint paying for any driving test fees now but the crap wages are still there, hopefully going to get better as i should be getting a call from my recruitment agency to have a interview with lexus should be better :P

is it a 1.2 16v by any chance if it is i found this one on ebay

ok your exhaust blow will be a bit funny on the performance side of things.

is your problem, when you pull away fast you feel the car pull you allong, then at a certan RMP it doesnt pull as hard?
this will happen in all cars, and will play up more with a full fuel tank or more than 1 person in the car,

my 1.4 will really fly when its got a full tank and all but you put a passanger in there it struggles.
(that wont happen when i have the 2l turbo put in lol)

the knocking well thats common as muck if you have the square exhaust if you have the pea shooter exhaust then its just fitted incorectly. and if the car has had a aftermarket/performance exhaust fitted this will be a huge problem for you.

i solved mine well partialy by putting a piece of thick rubber between the exhaust and the bumper, works to a point will have to chop a piece of the bumper out to stop it happening tho.

is there anything else you can tell me about your problem?

like does it happen with more than one person in the car, full tank, hot weather, cold weather, when the car is cold, when the car is hot, all these things are needed to be known if anyone can help you out fully
