dont think theres anything you can really do to reduce the old generator noise,
back box or system dought it will do much (dont hold me to this i dont know to much about deisles)
best hing you can do to it is take it to a re-mapping station/company and they can give you a fair few break horses with just a simple remap

ok i will hav to look on to that and its just my m8 had a nova 1.5td and bcus it is a old car it hasd no silencers so he cud jus put a back box str8 on n it sounded gd but corect me if im wrong i dnt kno much about cars but im guna hav a go anyway just to c wat it is like
