holding back

Post by corsab12v »

my 1.0 holds back when warmed up after 5 mins of driving it starts to hold back like a missfire but more like the hand brake is being pulled on then off so the car feels like it being draged back for 1 or 2 seconds going up hills its constant it takes a while to get up hills i have noticed if i put the heater on full at hot the problem goes away by 90% but the car is not over heating i dont let it get above 90 temp tryed air flow had a new throttle valve but it oly happens when warmed up its doing my head in anyone had the same problems?

hmmm tbh it should pull up the engine management light, check fuel consumption now you say that you may have a cracked fuel line can you smell petrol in the car, or the afm is not providing the right mix of fuel to air but again em light would be on

nope i cant smell fuel i never said i have a cracked fuel line it must have something to do with the car heating up its ok for 5 mins when its cold it doesen't overheat. when its warm if i turn the heater on full hot the the stutering goes away by 90% its only there at slow speeds ie when pulling away and driving slow though the gears just put 2l of antifreeze in today and its still the same.

try taking out the spark plugs and seeing if they are tracing

basicaly you will see a black line in the enamel part of the spark plug, i just changed my mates plugs as his car started getting sluggish and felt really weared to drive.
