The egm light is occasionally flashing on and off in my car, like il literally just about catch it. Then today i was waiting to pull out no throttle clutch depressed egm comes on briefly and engine cuts out. Then i was just running the engine while i sprayed my car with some rust beater:P and the engine begins to almost misfire, i opened the bonnet and the engine block was shaking a hell of alot i turned it off and restarted it same problem after about a minute, third time lucky no issues just there was probably more water vapour coming out the exhaust then there should of been lambda sensor?? your help is appreciated!

Trouble was engine management light wasnt on for more then 30 secs

even if the engine managment light comes on then goes off it will still store a code.

give it a try it's always going to be a good easy place to start.
