max speed in each gear?

i have a corsa 2000 w reg TRIP 3D 1.0 12V
and ive been to 20 in 1st gear and 35 in 2nd and 55 in 3rd and 65 in 4th
my question is, these speeds sound like its the max the car can do in them gears
because i dont have a rev gauage i dont know if im near redlining it or anything
does anyone know what the top speed in each gear is about, at what speed it starts to go into red, and at what speeds in what gear provide the most power?

well all corsas have a rev limiter, your hitting the redline when you hit the limiter
i had a 1.0i trip and i managed 50 in 2nd (at 50 it hit the rev limiter at 7000rpm
the easiest way to figgure it, is fit a set of clocks with a rev counter!
the redline starts at 6000rpm and ends at 7000rpm (the rev limiter)
max power is 55hp at 5600rpm and max torque 82nm at 2800rpm
if you do get a rev counter from a scrapyard try to pull one from another 1.0i
1st ones i tryed wer from a 1.4 and they used to go way way way off the redline! it would go past 7000rpm and go all the way round the dial back to 0!

if the redline starts at 6000rpm for your car, would you say 45 mph is just before the redline?
and my trip isent an injection, just a normal one, are you sure yours is or are you mistaking 1.0l for 1.0i l for litres

all 1.0i wer the same engine they only did 1
if u have a 1.0 engine its a x10xe which is a multi point fuel injection engine dual overhead camshafts.
they used the 1.0i to replace the 1.2 8v e-drive unit as it was more economical and more powerfull lol
(and you got a 5 speed gearbox rather than 4)
engines stats:
Manufacturer code: X10XE (1.0}
Year of production:: 1997 - 2000
Fuel: gasoline
Fuel preparation: Multi-point fuel injection (MPFI)
Supercharging: No
Camming: DOHC
Cubic capacity: 973
No. of cylinders / Arrangement: 3 / In-Line
Valves no.: 12
Compression ration: 10.1 : 1
Performance [kW] / RPM: 40 (54 PS) @ 5600
Torque [Nm] / RPM: 82 @ 2800 (~ 60 ft/lb)
Bore x Stroke [mm]: 72.4 x 78.6
Note Bosch Motronic M 1.5.5 ,,Corsa B (F13CR),,95 / 98 ..

couldne say i never revved it that hard cus it just took forever to rev
max i had out of mine was 105mph with about 500rpm left to go but just not enought power to push beyond that
which isnt too bad to say its actual top speed is ment to be 93mph

105mph in 3rd gear? or 4th or 5th ? lol
ive had 100mph in 5th downhill, how do you know you were 500 revs off, did you fit a rev gauage?

swapped the clocks for a set with a rev counter
and that was in 5th
isnt really enough power to get to the redline in 4th n 5th
well probably could but you would need a hell of a long bit of road

The GSi does about 106-107 of the limmiter in 4th and i recon about 130 in 5th, not many roads on the isle of man long enough to do that tho!
