REV RANGES!!! what are they?

i'm current customising my first car, which happens to be a corsa-b 1.4litre ls. I want to add a rev counter, but i don't know what the rev range is?!?!
is it 0-8000rpm or 0-6000? i dunno!!

can someone please help me to get me out of the pickle i'm in!!!!

If your engine is the c14nz then its 6400 so u need a gauge up to 7000 just replace it with the standard corsa ones from a scrappy!

all petrols had gauges up to 7000 rpm
all diesels has up to 6000 rpm

the speedo should go up to 130mph with exception of the GSI which had 140 at the top

also make sure you get the right clocks from your car, if ur going to a brakers try to get one from the same modle car as yours or atleats the same year
and remeber you will need a mechanical set if ur speedo starts at 10 and a electronic one if ur speedo starts at 0

cheers for that guys, so am i looking for a gauge that goes from 0-to-7000 rpm?

yup

but make sure its the same type as yours electronic or manual
also try getting one from the same engine size car

the problem with that is that there isn't a original rev counter in the car dash. I plan on adding a dash mounted one, so what do i do about that??
