Hi,great site
My little 99 1.5 td has got very sluggish and dont have the power it used 2,it was never powerful but now if i drop from 5th to 4th at 60mph i struggle 2 get power to pass,i also noticed that its went from easy on juice to drinking it,
when i go up hills my power drops badly and i have 2 change down,i thought it was the clutch at first but it dosent seem 2b slipping,is their anything i could ask at a local garage 2 check?.Also my lights are like candles whilst i drive at night,had an alternator fitted 3months ago.I get the car serviced quite often but mechanic says it fine but i drive it everyday and notice something wrong,it aint smokey,no rattles except the usual diesel noise got 99000 on clock can anyone please help?

Get Them To Stick A Tech1 on it, sounds like ECU

the 1.5TD engines dont have an ECU!!
now.... it could be yer cylinder ead gasket check and see if there is any water missing from the buit u put the cooler into ok.... if not why not try and do the white ring mod my car is now at least as fast as a 1.6 16V engine lol

unless u give me a tow my td will never beat a 1.6 16v ,mine not using much water and i have no oil leaks,on the white ring i heard that idea b4,my 2 concerns would be why did vauxhall not bring them out like that? and would it not make be alot sorer on diesel?

not much... i still get 50 mpg and the car runs really smoothly

take the fuel pump apart then cut the white ring out of it and hammer the dimple on it and then put it back to gether the next thing u need is to turn u pthe max fuelk screw on ur car hwich is on the pump
then get a bleed valve for ur turbo and ur laughing
