ELECTRICAL PROBLEM!

Post by electr0rene »

hey i'm new! yo!

just wondering if anyone would be able to help me before i have to get my car to a mechanic.

I recently picked up my corsa cheap and have been doing it up. it's close to road worthy now but i'm having electrical trouble.

the electric windows seem to work temporarily and the speedometer, rev counter, fuel gauge etc seem dead...
I wondered if i could get any tips on what might be wrong..
I suppose the initial thing would be to replace all the fuses but i'm not sure which fuse relates to the clocks?

any help would be ace

cheers

have a look on the back of the panel you remove to accsess the fusebox.
it should show on the back with a diagram which fuses are for what

its ether your fuses, faulty wiring or faulty relay

hey thanks!

i'm still not sure which logo relates to the fuse i'd want to change for the clocks. i'll try that first then the wiring.
fingers crossed its just the fuse.

I had exactly the same problem. The fuse is slot number 17 on the fuse pannel. Replace it with the same fuse and away you go.
