help oil light coming on

Hi can any one help here when I come up to a set of light and stop my oil light keeps coming on but when i press the accelerator it goes off again.

also there is a wire going in to a plug at the front of the engine but oil is slighly dripping out.

Is this the oil pressure switch and is this what is causing the light to come on???

have u checked the oil level? with the car being level and engine cold and not running...

could be that there is not enough oil or oil preassure sensor is faulty..

How many RPMs is the engine turning over when it's idling? only I know the light will come on when the engine thinks it's going to stall or it idling very slowly.

Try a new oil pressure switch (top of the engine with wire going to it) I can get you one if you want.
